IPv4 (e.g. 93.184.216.34) is the traditional Internet addressing protocol, but with only 4 billion addresses, it has been exhausted since 2011. IPv6 (e.g. 2606:2800:220:1:...) offers a nearly unlimited number of addresses. An AAAA record is the IPv6 equivalent of an IPv4 A record.
Real-world impact of "IPv6 support (AAAA)"
More and more mobile ISPs and carriers are assigning only IPv6 addresses. Without an AAAA record, the site may be unreachable for these users, or require costly NAT translations. It's also a signal of technical modernity.
